Are there two places called Leigh-on-Sea?

Hi,

It's often referred to as 'the best kept Essex secret' so we went on Sunday.
There was one street, High St., that looked suitably old and full of character. The eateries were bulging with happy diners. However, that said, we couldn't see anything that was particularly enticing. No shops, boutiques, ice-cream parlours, high class coffee shops.
People surely don't crowd there just to eat cockles and winkles do they?
Please help.
